Coaching Weekend sponsored by the Preservation Society of Newport County; begun in 1968; usually held every three years but sometimes there is a longer skip. Most recently held in Aug. 1006. Whips and parties arrive with horses and coaches, the horses being stabled in the Breakers stable and other area barns.
